Advanced Photography is owned and operated by International award winning photographer Guy Brown.  His passion for photography began while attending high school and then continued with numerous college courses covering all aspects of photography and darkroom techniques.  Now some 30 + years later he still continues to stay on the cutting edge of photography by attending and participating in workshops devoted to the enhancement of photography worldwide.

Mr. Brown attributes much of his success to those who have spent countless hours teaching him the craft.  These include such noted and famous photographers as Vincent Versace, Eddie Tapp, Ed Pierce, Bambi Cantrell, Joe Buissink and the late Monte Zucker.

Mr. Brown is an active member of the Professional Photographers of America,  the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Association, and a lifetime member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization.

His pictures have been published on an ongoing basis for over 6 years as a staff photographer for REAL DETROIT WEEKLY magazine.  His pictures have also graced the pages of the Detroit News and Elle fashion magazine.  As well as various catalogs and books.

In 2006 Mr. Brown was awarded not one but two"Accolades of Excellence Awards" for his outstanding photography.  These awards were bestowed by a panel of Internationally renown photography experts from around the globe held in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

 Mr. Brown has been considered by many as "the" go to photographer, when it comes to capturing the very best in commercial food photography. (having shot for over 100 of Detroit's finest restaurants)

His Wedding and Model photography is some of the best in the business.

And when celebrities come to town, it is quite often "Guy Brown" who is chosen to photograph their performances.  Some of  his published photographed celebrities include the likes of : Alice Cooper, Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morisette, Aerosmith, Brain May, Bret Micheals, Bon Jovi, Chris Daughtry, Eric Clapton, Green Day, John Mayer, Kiss, Kid Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, Micheal Anthony, Nelly Furtado, Sting, Steven Tyler, Slash, Scot Weiland, Sammy Hagar, Sheryl Crow, Ted Nugent and Van Halen.
